BMW X5 2014+ Coding: Done with Vgate iCar 2 +Bimmercode
A few words to share my experience of the VgateiCar 2 OBDII code reader.
Budget:50 usd for X5 coding
Car & purpose:BMW 2014+ X5 F15 head unit coding
Around 20usd with free shipping
I have the wifi version
Package:
Well-packed when i received
An adapter, cd and manual inside the box
Connection: OBD
For my X5, the port is located under the dashboard on the driver side
Software: BimmerCode
BimmerCode is a program aimed to code your BMW or Mini yourself, customize it according to your wishes and unlock hidden features.
But, BimmerCode for quick convenience
ESys for fully featured use.
Wifi setup:
When theVgate iCar 2adapter is connected to the car, download BimmerCode app and then set up wifi on the mobile. I’m using Android
Coding with BimmerCode:
Connect
Select a engine control unit: headunit
Reading coding data…
Select: use smartphone rightone
Not active -> active
Coding success!
Done!
