IfScania VCI3 adapterwill work with Kvaser CANKing software (Kvaser lib API)?

 

 

Kvaser is the producer of VCI3 and VCI2. When you install SDP3 you install Kvaser drivers and libraries.

How to use Yanhua JLR KVM RFA Solder Kit?

Sometimes if you program Jaguar or Land rover 2018+ smart key all keys lost under active alarm (i.e 2020 Range Rover K8D2 system RFA is locked), you have to replace and program the RFA Module CPU SPC560B chip. Here is the step-by-step guide to remove, solder and replace KVM RFA mcu processor using the new Yanhua JLR KVM RFA solder kit easily.

 

Yanhua JLR KVM Solder kit has 2 configurations:

Package A: including following

Package B: full pacakge. with an extra hot air gun and air gun bracket

(If have hot air gun and bracket, just get Pacakge A)

The KVM solder kit is recommended to use withYanhua module 24to program JLR 2018+ key via OBD. It is compatible with other JLR key programmers that need to program RFA as well, i.eLonsdor K518.

 

How to Replace JLR 2018+ KVM RFA MCU Chip with Yanhua JLR Solder Kit?

 

Part 1: Remove MCU

Apply Yanhua paint remover to the top of the chip and the pins.

After 30 seconds you can see the protective paint start to peel off

Apply the paint remover to the pin area

After about ninety seconds you can start cleaning the chip with cotton

Then clean the board with contact cleaner to avoid corrosion of the board by paint remover

After paint removal and cleaning

Install the chip limit plate

Apply solder paste to the chip pins

Use temperature and airflow adjustable hot air gun to desolder chip

Use Clamp to secure the chip limit plate

Adjust the height of the hot air gun8mmabove the chip limit plate

Adjust the air volume to8gear

Adjust the preheating temperature to250degree

Start the hot air gun, keep the temperature at 250, preheat for 90 seconds

After 90 seconds, raise the temperature to420degree and heat for 25 seconds

At this point, use the tweezers to hold one corner of the chip. When the chip is loose, clip up the chip.
About twenty-five seconds,the chip is loose, remove the air gun and clip up the chip.

Clean the bottom and pins of the chip with Yanhua paint remover.

Then clean the board with contact cleaner to avoid corrosion of the board by paint remover.

This is the original plate solder on the pad.
Check whether there is short circuit between the plate.

 

Part 2: Solder MCU

Apply the solder paste to the chip pad.

Install the chip limit plate
Use clamps to secure the chip limit plate

Use Yanhua proprietary chips (Yanhua RFA Module CPU SPC560B Chipwith Data), Yanhua has added solder for the chip pin before delivery.

Gentely place the chip into the chip limit plate
Pay attention to the chip pin direction, the dimple on the chip ispin 1.

Apply solder paste to the chip pins and the tops of the chip
Check that the chips are placed correctly.

Use temperature and airflow adjustable hot air gun to blow and solder chip
Adjust the height of the hot air gun8mmabove the chip limit plate
Adjust the air volume to 8 gear
Adjust the preheating temperature to 250

Start the hot air gun, keep the temperature at250degree, preheat for 90 seconds

After 90 seconds, raise the temperature to340degree and heat for 25 seconds

You can see that the solder on the pin is starting to merge with the solder on the pad.
After 25s, shut down and remove the gun.

Use contact cleaner to clean the solder paste on the chip.

This is the final result after welding and cleaning.

NOTE:

1. Remove the original RFA module, replace the SPC560B chip, write data to the blank chip with clip adapter, no soldering.
2.Yanhua ACDP module 24 platform can automatically detect the communication condition of RFA modules, including blank RFA modules and RFA modules after chip replacement.
3. Install RFA module back to the vehicle, connect Yanhua ACDP with the vehicle via OBD, then program key and learn key via OBD.

Jeep Compass 2018 like you see MqB48 chip, I ordered this mqb48 chip to do an add key on this car.

The car does not have SGW.
I enter in car not by compass but by renegade. Read flash ok withobdstar x300 dp plus.
Read pin ok.
Precode key failed.
I when precode it ask for the P001 but when I’m in obd the p001 doesn’t get enough power.
I remove the obd and plug it on power supplier 13v than I can enter in the procedure.
But like you see it failed.

Update.
I could do whole procedure with autel im608 without any problem. Precode dealer key see picture.

 

 

Smart Pro:

Smartpro can do Jeep Compass 2018 if it is start-stop smart key.

It does not work if it is a blade key. Doesn’t work if locked with a remote does it so need to remove and eeprom. Same as active alarm on fiat.

What Tool to Change Mercedes W212 Mileage?

Which tool corrects Mercedes W212 mileage?

 

Yanhua Digimaster 3

For easier w212 (none facelift model) digimaster 3 can do directly via OBD, no CAN filter.

Late 2013- 2014 Mercedes W212 facelift models you need to correct odometer and installCAN Filter(EZS nothing). The can filter goes near the cluster.

It can be done with Yanhua Digimaster 3. By the way, take backup from eeprom first.

 

 

Digiprog3

Digiprog 3 work fine ,
First ESZ KM and seconds dash bord KM change.

If it is full color dashbaord, digiprog3 cannot do it.

If it’s not facelift model (so before 2013) and usedigiprog 3 v4.94, then you don’t need can filter/blocker.
But a can blocker is better to use all times, because if dealer reads the EZS it shows same mileage as in tacho, if you don’t use can blocker then EZS shows 999999km.. (but normally dealers don’t read EZS, they only read ‘assyst manager’ when serviced).

To change mileage you need to use option ‘EZS’ in menu of mercedes w212 of digiprog III.. then it blocks ezs and changes tacho automatically.

If you roll back odometer to a lower mileage off last service, its best to delete service history in car. use option ‘assyst manager’. enter ‘744’ days and ‘25000’kms for next service warning, and press ‘V’ when it asks to delete service history.

When you have a diesel it probably gives DPF error in car. and the car will run in emergency-mode, only drives max 80kmh. digiprog can’t reset this. You have to go to dealer or someone else who can reset dpf.

When some other errors turn up in display use the ‘clr error’ option to reset.

no tool will lower mileage on the EZS, but Diagprog3 or AVDI will flash the Sam to fool Star Diagnosis and instead of read the mileage of EZS will show the mileage of dash.

Can Thinkdiag do Mercedes Sprinter Variant Coding

Got theThinkDiag Bluetooth dongleand software working on Android. I was able to scan all my modules and see fault codes.

It will variant code. Variant Coding is now possible on some of the control modules on NCV3s.

I used this to change the default setting for the Eco Stop Start function on my 907 Sprinter to Last Mode. It now remembers the mode it was in when the vehicle was switched off, instead of the default setting which is on every time the vehicle is started.
The setting is in Drive Systems/CPC-Control Unit Powertrain/Variant Coding/Implizite-Variantenkodierung/24 Item-3s-LastMode Code Ubengrenzter Lastmode 3s.

On Android platform, Variant coding is not available on IPhone version.

This is good news for the Mercedes Sprinter VS30 owners, especially if it has access to the variant coding of most control modules.

It turns out that ThinkDiag has greater capability and access than DAS or Xentry. On a 2013 Sprinter with the CR60 control module, I was able to code the HGB and VMax up and down (5 – 82 mph) without any problems, something that DAS is not able to do. I also tested on a 2016 Sprinter with CR43 (OM651) control module and it was able to code and do the same thing, HGB and VMax 5 – 82mph… Xentry has no access to the variant coding at all on 2014 and up Sprinters, but this device does. For any of you NCV3/T1N owners that might have a van that is governed at a speed of less than 82mph, ThinkDiag dongle is your solution for that. It connects and has access to the variant coding of most of the control modules on a 2016 OM651 Sprinter under the Sprinter option without any issues.

This means that ThinkDiag has full access to the variant coding of the engine (OM642 and OM651) and is able to code the AdBlue system off along with the AdBlue restrictions/counter.

It is under Variant Coding.

 

 

But it isimpossible to turn off the EKAS system from the variant coding. There is no such option.

The scanner will work without internet/cel service with any software you’ve downloaded and used already. So if you’ve set up your software, it is still fully functional out on the road in dead cel service areas.
If you are looking for a small and portable device that has the capability of 80-90% of what Xentry/DAS can do,ThingDiagscanner might be the device you need. The device and concept behind is very similar toAutel AP200but with far more capabilities. Read and clear codes, Live data capability, Actuations and bidirectional capability, Initialization and adaptations, different teach in capabilities.

OBDSTAR or Autel to Program Renault Captur II 2019- All Keys Lost

Renault captur 2 2021 4A smart card (AES chip proximity card) all keys lost can be done?? What device to use?

Update Renault version to latest.

You may needRenault gateway adapterto bypass pin.

With Key Master DP / DP Plus, Captur makes flash reading and writing after 2015 while making a key. The device will tell you the procedure you need to follow. With the new version, all keys lost in Clio 4, Captur, Megane 4, Kadjar etc. have been added. This feature is currently not attached to any device (Abrites, Zedfull etc.).

Flash says you need to remove the key after reading and writing, then you need to insert the same key again. If you insert a different key, an error occurs. After getting an error, start the process all over again. This time it will not read flash. Because you’ve done it before. You should start processing with the new key. The result will be successful.

 

 

 

Autel:

Autel MaxiIM IM508/IM608/IM608Prowill only add key (blade and smart) for captur 2 2019-, cannot do all keys lost.

 

 

For some models, the gateway must be unlocked for the execution of the function.
Gateway unlocking is not directly related to PIN reading.

For a small number of models, PIN code reading may fail. In this case, you can ask a third party to verify the PIN code to complete learning.

 

There are two ways to unlock the gateway.

Auto unlock via OBD (this is chargeable. You may need to redo the payment after learning failure) and manual unlocking (adedicated gateway connectoris required).

If the auto lock via OBD fails, you will enter the manual unlock process. You can unlock it manually by referring to the user guide.

CG100 Honda Accord S6J3001 Mileage Pinout

Newer Honda Accord instrument cluster has secured processor spansion mcu S6J3001. There is also a RH66 chip but the km data is not stored in it.

 

 

CG100 Prog iiiis the cheapest programmer to read/write chip S6J3001. Not directly calculate mileage. YRead S6j data, send data to CG engineer to modify data, write back new data to S6J.

 

Here is the instruction on S6J3001 mileage correction with cg100.

Select Instrument function->Asian cars->Honda->Accord->S6J3001 Read/Write

CG100 will show you wiring diagram

ConnectCG100, and cluster with BDM4 adapter follow the diagram

Original mileage: 8,0888km

Read and save eeprom data

Send the eeprom data to CG engineer to modify mileage data, i.e 2,6666km

 

Write the modified data to S6J3001 chip.
