How to reflashOTOFIX IM1 key programmertablet hardware using a flash file?

Check the instructions below.

Preparation:

• One TF card (larger than 4G, please backup all personal files)
• One card reader.
• Windows computer (make sure the windows computer USB port has write permission.)
• "update.img” file.
• "SDDiskTool”
• OTOFIX IM1 (S/N AIM1*****) which need to be flashed.

For IM1 only. Does not work with IM2.

Step 1: Install flash file

• Copy "update.img”to Windows computer. Insert the TF card to card reader and plug the card read to computer USB port.
• Decompress the "SDDiskTool_v1.61.zip”to computer, will see the "SDDiskTool_v1.61”folder.
• Run "SD_Firmware_Tool.exe” program in "SDDiskTool_v1.61” like the following screenshot:

• Select removable disk. The inserted TF card will be selected automatically in normal case, but if more than 1 removable disk inserted in the computer, then need to select the TF card manually or remove other removable disk.
• Tick firmware upgrade.
• Click "select firmware” and select the "update.img” file.
• Click "Start to crate” and select "OK” in the pop-up warning window. (The TF card will be formatted in this step, please make sure personal files backed up already)
• It may take 7 min to finish the step. It will show successful window and please click "OK”

Step 2: Copy keepcar file (Optional)

If do not want to reset the IM1 to factory default (Means will keep the history diagnostic files and photos), please copy the "keepcar.txt”to TF card root menu. Otherwise, please delete the "keepcar.txt”.

Step 3: Flash the IM1 (Please make sure the electricity is greater than 30%)

Insert the TF card to the IM1 which need to be flashed. Long press the power button to reboot the IM1, it will go to flash process automatically. And can take out the TF card once the screen shows successful.

Step 4: NV configuration

• Copy the Logos and NvConfigs to the device ES file- Local-inernal storage.
• Open "序列号烧录” APP, the second option "清除log” means clear logo, should press one time to clear.
• Click "写入logo” to write the logo, select logo.bmp, and click OK.

• Click "清除开机动画” to clear boot animation
• Click "设置开机动画” to set the boot animation, select otofix, and click OK

• Click "写入NV配置”to write NV configuration, check the corresponding NV, click OK, the device will restart automatically.

Step 5: Clean up the system

Reboot theOTOFIX IM1and go to System settings—system—reset—Factory data reset (select erase SD card)—reset the device and the device will reboot automatically.

Newer Honda Accord/City, etc. mileage data is stored in a secured processor spansion mcu S6J3001LSJ. There is also an RH66 chip,but the km data is not stored in it.

Here we will show how to correct Honda S6J3001 instrument cluster usingCG100X programmer.

This is a Honda City with S6J3001 cluster.

Original mileage: 29,224km

Run CG100X software, select Dashboard-Instrument function.

Select Honda- ACCORD-S6J3001

Check wiring diagram. Make sure the diagram is the same as your cluster !!!. Requires 12V power supply as well.

Then connect CG100X with cluster via Pro adapter V2.

Hit Start operation once set up connection.

Read mcu data then save.

CG100Xwill display current mileage of the vehicle. Check and confirm the mileage is the same or very close to the original mileage.

Then input the target mileage, i.e 18,200 km.

Press OK to write mileage data.

Correct mileage successfully.

Install the instrument cluster back to vehicle and check new mileage.

Done.

Problem:

Programmed a smart key into a 2023 Toyota Yaris Cross usingAutel IM608 II, and it works fine but when you get in the car to start it, it says "new key registered, contact dealer”. But it works fine and is registered correctly in the system. How I can delete it?

The error happens on new Toyotas often. This is normal on all new Toyota.

Drive it for a while/a couple of days/weeks, it will go away!!!

It’s part of the Toyota security and the key needs to be linked with Toyota.

That’s some of the new features in Toyota to let the owner know that there is a new key programmed to the car in case you did not approve a new key and someone made a copy while you were not there. If all works fine and there is no codes it should go away in a few start cycles.

What tools do you use to read this mcuandchange the mileage for a 2015-2018 Jeep Cherokee cluster? It’s a D70F3525 without an external EEPROM.

Here is the clue.

If MCU is V850 D70F3525 then there is no external eeprom. Only NEC. This cluster does not have an eeprom.Its made by Continental.

They have 2 different clusters on 2018 Cherokee.

They fit them according to the trim (limited , basic), not grand Cherokee one is a small screen and the other has a larger TFT, both have the D70F3525 without external eeprom , the one with the big screen you are able to change mileage withobdstar x300through can wires but not the one with small screen.

They still use processors only without external eeprom and it a dynamic memory, in other Jeeps like the Compass, Renegade 2017-2022 the new possessor is a BGA D7F701343.

These clusters are mostly done through obd2 (Smelecom/DP4 can do by OBD2 very fast). Original carprog with ram activation can do it via obd or on table. Odmaster also does 2015- Chrysler 300c cluster with D70F3525 processor.
