Review 1:

I have given this AutoHex II diagnostic and programming tool a bit of a bashing in the past but it is slowly starting to win me over with a few wins in the last week.
The latest updates seem to work as advertised.

I have recently coded a few second hand ECU’s with it and for the first time with any OBD tool, successfully downgraded (and made a spare key to) an ISTAP-45 CAS on a 2012 BMW X5.
Support is a lot better now there is a direct email for them, it no longer gets routed through the sales department.
The updating of modules works well, things look good.

I did have a car in a basement with no internet access so it wouldn’t work, can’t blame the tool for that one though.

Keep up the good work, i’m starting to be impressed with the tool.

Review 2:

At the moment you can’t just read the ISN from a DME on the bench without having a CAS connected as well, which is a pain.Considering switching over from bmw explorer to this.
This is apparently being addressed in future updates.

CAS mechanical key code is incorrect as well, I have put in a report about this, hopefully it will be fixed up.

Review 3:

My personal opinion – AutoHex tool came to late on the market and its priced wrongly (too high). Most of us here already have avdi comander/bmw explorer/isn reader/ENET E-sys etc.
With all those tools you can get around with any problem – Now new tool came out after we have spent mega $$$$$ and what that tool does is the same job with few less clicks…
For that amount of money to spend on that tool (AutoHex) and by already having 3-4-5++ tools for BMW – i would rather allocate that money to Enigma/DP4/beers/hookers etc…

A: No mileage options on this tool at all as far as I can see.

How to install BMW ETK electronic parts catalogon Windows 8.1 64 Bit OS:

1. Insert the ETK disk into your CDROM Drive. Depending on the setup of your computer you may get an AutoPlay Window Popup. If this happens, cancel the AutoPlay.
   2. Go to Computer and double click on the CD icon to view the files on the CD.
   3. Double click on WIN95 folder, BMW folder, and then ETK folder.
   NOTE: BMW uses a "win95 folder label” the data on the disk is current.
   4. Double click on the setup icon and the installation will begin.
   5. Select English (USA) if prompted for language anytime during the install.
2. This installation will place an icon called SYSADM with the BMW logo on your desktop. SYSADM is the installation utility for any of the vehicle diagnostic and parts software including TIS, ETK, HTK, etc.
   7. Place the ETK disk into the drive and start SYSADM. Select EPC from the menu then click install.
   8. If the SYSADM version on the ETK is newer it will be replaced automatically. When asked, click OK to replace the older version.
   9. You may be prompted for Total Catalog or Motorcycle, choose Total Catalog.
   10. The installation will start and a window will pop-up and prompt for language. Select English (USA) for use in the US.
   11. Installation will proceed.
   12. When installation is complete you will get another window requesting dealer network information and language. DO NOT CHECK THE DEALER NETWORK BOX. This requires a subscription and password and is used to check inventory on the network. Select English (USA) if being used in the US and continue.
   13. Installation should complete and the program is ready for use.
   14. ETK can be accessed from the TIS by clicking on the "Change” button in the top-level menu. By using the "change” button you can go back and forth between TIS and ETK and retain vehicle parameters.
   15. When you start ETK click on the vehicle identification at the top and select you vehicle and enter the last 7 digits of your VIN into the boxes. If the VIN has been entered correctly you should be able to click the arrow at the lower right of the screen and you will get a Vehicle Identification pop-up. If you are unable to get the software to recognize your vehicle, you can select it by year, model, and options using the menu selections. Mini owner’s need to click the Marque and change to Mini.

WARNING:Installing to the hard drive takes a while for the files to copy. It will also take approximately 650MB of space.
9. Select English (USA) whenever prompted.
10. This will install the TIS software and place the TIS icon on your desktop.
11. Click in the TIS icon to use the software.
12. When you start TIS click on vehicle identification at the top and select you vehicle and enter the last 7 digits of you VIN into the boxes. Received myENETEthernet to OBD cable yesterday and cannot wait for any moment that I used it to codemy F20 this morning.

The ENETF-series coding cable came with e-sys 3.22 software but I didn’t use it. Searched forums for a newer software myself. Forum members said their E-sys 3.22 worked well.

Here are some setup i did.

Go to Expert Mode

Select coding, then connection

Open connection: TargetSelector: Project=F020_15_07_506, VehicleInfo=F020

Setup 1- Activate diagital speedo
Go to Editors & Viewers
