Problem:
It is a 2015 MW X5 BDC immobilizer system. Tried to change km withYanhua mini ACDP2. Initial programming succeeded but failed to reset. ACDP gave the error "Reset FEM/BDC mileage failed”.

Solution:
First of all, you got the wrong connection of ACDP2 and FEM/BDC interface board.
Check the correct interface connection as following
Then if reset FEM/BDC mileage failed, you may lose FEM/BDC coding.
PerformStep 6: Remove EEPROM DataandStep 7: Recover Coding Datato restore coding. Make sure you back up original data before operation.
Restore the original data.
If restore coding completed, but still fail to reset mileage (see error image)
Check the BTLD software version. If theversion is 082, you cannot reset mileage by removing the BDC module.
If it is BDC 082 version, the mileage is reset via OBD. PurchaseBMW BDC OBD module 31.Go to BDC OBD (F Chassis) and reset km.

In the November 2024 update, Autel MaxiIM IM508/IM608addsan integrated mqb2 calculator.It is possible to do All keys lost on VAG MQB models without DSG gearbox and without steering lock with data from the engine ecu. Cars like Golf Polo Fabia etc with manual gearbox and remote key.

How to Calculate VAG MQB AKL Sync Data with Autel IM508 IM608?
With the latest Autel update, you can now readlocked steering lockand decode immo data.
That means once you have entered data, you can do the akl on even automatic cars, not just manual. For synchrony of ELV push button, GTI, Audi A3, Tiguan,etc.
Autel has done it again. Now supportsdecode ELV 3Q0905861 and 5Q0905861.Keep updating…
Decoding ELV then get 16 bytes CS code. Then manually input data to MQB2 sync data calculator to get sync data for All keys lost.
To decode ELV data, you will need anAPB131 adapter.
For example:
Read 5Q (5Q0905861) ELV 16 bytes
Another example:
Read and decode Tiguan 3Q (3Q0905861) ELV data.
Select Direct Column Lock function.
Select chip type 3Q0905861
Autel IM608 will show you wiring diagram of ELV 5Q.
Reading chip data using the programmer.

The Trasdata with EDC16/17 Service mode and can do almost every ECU on bench without opening.
PCM is great. Better use it with scanmatik 2 pro. For EDC17 it’s a little faster, as it doesn’t need to ID ECU everytime, does not look for correct plugin. Had two EDC17CV42 units, that Trasdata could not identify and thus, could not write (it read correctly) because it could not find correct checksum algorithm. PCM Flash did that ECU without problem.
Both are great tools, but if you need wider coverage on bench, go forKESS3/Trasdata.MEDC17 service mode is great, just hook up the ECU without opening it. All instructions and pinouts are built into the software.

What is the difference between them?
Dimsport New Genius
Dimsport, like Alientech, has been a prominent name in the tuning industry for many years. This longevity has influenced both the quality and the price of their products. Similar to theKESS3, the Dimsport New Genius comes with a higher price point and requires a yearly subscription fee. However, Dimsport lags slightly behind Alientech in one key area—you’ll need two separate tools to access the ECU through both OBD and Bench modes. This can be a disadvantage if you want complete coverage, as the New Genius is only designed for OBD use.
The Dimsport New Genius is Dimsport’s dedicated OBD tool, allowing you to read and write ECUs that are accessible through the OBD port. Tuning through OBD is widely considered the safest and easiest method. The New Genius boasts a solid vehicle list, covering cars, trucks, tractors, bikes, and marine applications, and is known for its stability and reliability.
One of the New Genius’s most notable advantages is its built-in screen, which allows you to read and write to the ECU without needing a laptop. While you’ll still need a laptop to edit the file or send it to someone for editing, this screen feature makes the New Genius especially popular among tractor tuners due to its extensive vehicle coverage and simple setup for reading and writing.
Dimsport offers the Genius and the Trasdata tuning tools, powered by their program Race 2000. The Genius is an OBD tuning tool. In many ways it is similar to Alientech Kess V2. The main difference being the Genius is handheld and has a touch screen. This does make it a nice tool to use without the need to take your lap top the car to tune it. However, a PC is still needed for reading the file from the Genius for either editing it or send on to a file provider. So the myth you don’t need a laptop when using a genius is incorrect.
Like the Alientech KESS3, the Dimsport New Genius is available in both master and slave versions, making it suitable for both professional tuners and beginners.
Dimsport New Trasdata
Despite needing two tools for full coverage, the DimsportTrasdata is a high-quality Bench toolknown for its stable and reliable connection throughout the tuning process. Like the New Genius, the Trasdata is available in both master and slave versions, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced tuners.
However, it’s important to note that the combination of the Dimsport New Genius and Trasdata comes at a higher cost compared to Alientech’s KESS3, which offers all these functionalities in a single tool. While Dimsport offers excellent tools, the combined price of the New Genius and Trasdata can make this option more expensive than the KESS3’s all-in-one solution.
The Trasdata tool is Dimsports bench tuning tool. (the Alientech equivalent was the K-TAG). This is the tuning device required when you need to remove the ECU for Boot mode tuning, or when performing service mode tuning direct to the ECU pins. The Trasdata is a good all-round tool with probe and adapters available to make connections as easy as possible.
Until now, there was not much in it between the combination of Alientechs Kess V2 and K-tag. And Dimsport’s Genius and Trasdata. Many tuners preferred the open file format of Alientech system leaving you free to use any editing software you wanted. Where as the Dimsport tools remained tied to their own Race2000 editing software. Limiting the tuners use and preference to software. The tie was eventually removed by Dimsport but only after many tuners had moved to other tools.
The Dimsport Trasdata is Dimsport’s dedicated Bench reading tool, designed to handle the ECUs that the Dimsport New Genius cannot access. To cover the entire Dimsport vehicle list, you’ll need both the Dimsport Trasdata and the New Genius. This is a notable difference from Alientech, where the KESS3 provides an all-in-one solution for OBD, Bench, and Boot mode.

All keys lost 2020 Ford Ranger push to start with active alarm and no keypad. Failed with smart pro, FDRS, and im608 with gbox.
Usually FDRS programs with active alarms no issues. But failed to program this time.

How to update X-prog3 Firmware ofLaunch X431 IMMO PlusorX431 IMMO Elite?

In the Home menu, select IMMO function.

Choose any vehicle brand, i.e BMW

Press OK. It will load system. It will detect the new firmware version of x-prog3. In this case, it finds a new version V1.72.
There is a diagram showing how to connect x-prog3 with IMMO tablet. Connect X-prog3 with IMMO Plus or IMMO Elite tablet.

Press YES to update x-prog3 firmware.
Updating the programmer. Do not interrupt.

Recently, some users reported that after changing mileage on Mercedes W211/W205/W169, etc. using OBDSTAR tools (OdomasterorX300 DP Plus), the car accepts the new mileage and, but after 5-10 seconds, returns the previous one.

After installing MB CAN Filter, if mileage correction is completed, OBDSTAR may ask to disconnect the insurance fuse and plug on the insurance after 5s.
During the operation, you need to unplug the insurance fuse and plug again 5s later. The insurance fuse is in the fuse box in the engine compartment (shown image below)
OBDSTAR does not cover all Mercedes chassis. It will do mileage correction for the following chassis. (Keep updating. Always check coverage before operation).

Tutorial: How to renew and clone Mercedes Benz 7G Tronic transmission gearbox TCU with Autel step-by-step.
It is a 2010 Mercedes GLK350, the shop just replaced the 7-speed automatic transmission with the used one. What we are going to be doing is cloning the TCU now over here on the ground.
GotAutel IM508orIM608connected with the XP400 then over the OBD plug.
This is theGodiag GT105along with this GT107 transmission adapter. It is a great tool to use for these makes.
It is really easy to set up and we’ve got the power coming in that cable is connected to the jump pack using the alligator clips to connect the cable.
In IM508, go into TCU tools you can start by clicking the wiring diagram.
It will show you how to connect. We’ve got a little diagram that shows you where to connect the power, the ground, CAN high, CAN low.
It does want us to put a 120 ohm resistor between the CAN H and CAN L. Now the nice thing about the godiag is that it actually has a little120 ohm resistor. You just push this little button whenever you want to set it. That’s we are all set up.
We are going to start by reading the TCU data.
We have our VIN number,all of TCU information including key information.
Save this file.
Go ahead and back up the coding.
Our coding is now backed up.
We can save the file.

Let’s go ahead and connect all of this to the donor transmission in the car in the same way that we were connected to the original one.
We have OBD cable connected to ourgodiagand the leads for the godiag are connected to the transmission plug.
We’re connected just like the diagram on the Autel shows us.
We are going to start by backing up the data from the donor module again. There’s our VIN number but this is the one from the donor car.
Go ahead and save it. Now that we have that backed up, let’s go ahead and renew TCU.
Press Yes to obtain an erase password. It succeeded in calculating the password. Here is the erase password.
We can now proceed with renewing this TCU. We have successfully renewed the TCU.
Now we can go ahead and write the TCU data from the original over to the donor.
Let’s click Write TCU. Select the file we read from the original transmission earlier. Writing succeeded.
Next we will write the coding. Select the file that we read earlier from the original transmission, enter the VIN number.
Writing of coding is completed.
Now let’s go back and read TCU data to make sure that it wrote the VIN number.
Our VIN number for the donor module is still there so we’re going to have to manually write that in.
So at the main menu we’re going to hit Write VIN, enter the VIN number hit okay. Writing of VIN number has succeeded.
Now we can go back and read TCU data again and this time we’ll make sure that our VIN number has been changed.
We might still have to active this TCM because here it is showing No activated.
Let’s go ahead and hit Activate TCU. Activating transmission succeeded.
Read TCU data again. The TCU has been activated. Let’s remove our cable, reconnect the connector.
Thistransmission is now ready to roll. That’s how you clone the Mercedes 7G tronic transmission gearbox TCU usingAutel IM508and godiag adapter.

Another interesting feature the Launch X431 Pro Elite diagnostic scanner. If you go into Technology Handbook. You have to connect Wifi or Hotspot to use this function. We got information there regarding component locations and all that sort of stuff.
Explores the tool's Technology Handbook which technical information and diagrams for various vehicle models.
This feature cannot be found on other sort of scan tools. It is got a whole load of different sorts of stuff here.
