BMW ISTA+ "Display" Function Not working Solution

Problem:BMW ISTA+ "Display” Function isn’t working, files were downloaded from forum, all files were extracted and unblocked. Car can be identified and fault tree is shown. Everything works fine, but when I create a test plan for faults and click ‘display’,the next page is blank and ends up semi-freezing the program.

 

How to fix BMW ISTA+ "Display” Function is blank?

To do a fresh installation again,

Disconnect from internet,

Stop antivirus programs, windows defender or any software that may block files,

Use 7zip to extract all files then try again.

Follow the installation guide, pay attention to windows software like .net framework 3.0,3.5,4.0,4.5, VC++ all versions starting from 2003 up to at least 2015 x86 and 64 bit, and java.

 

You asked for the sitting for the Ediabas folder in Rheingold folder ediabas.ini , interface, it should be set to "REMOTE” not "STD:OBD”, as I am also using aINPA K+DCANnot anICOM. Interface = STD:OBD must be set in the C: Ediabas folder only.

I am not sure if this has something to do with the screen freezing problem but I think it is worth to say.

 

For flashing: INPA should work and connection to the car verified that also will start the server, close INPA and start winkfp providing you installed spdaten properly.

 

PS: It isalways recommended to install BMW software on a fresh copy of windows.

Which Tool to Add Chrysler 200 Spare Key?

Have a 2011 Chrysler 200 S used with one of the original keys, I want to add one more spare key, I need to go to the dealer to have the key list reset? Because I don’t have 2 original keys.

 

3 options of 2011 Chrysler 200 S key add:

Unfortunately this is true, you need 2 working keys to program additional keys. A dealer is ableto able to add keys using theWiTechdiagnostic tool. This also requires a PIN which the dealer is able to get through the parts department. If you buy the blank key through the dealer they may program it for you for the price of the key ($150 or so dollars).

Witech Micropod2 can also program 2005 Chrysler 200 when All Keys Lost, here is the operation guide:

Insert the new key you want to program and turn the ignition cylinder to ON position. Currently ChryslersMicroPOD IIis the only solution for all keys lost because its the only tool that will wake the BUS to begin the programming procedure for new keys. Lost key replaced on site using MVP Pro to pull pin and program a new smart key.

 

Another option is to purchase the appcar software betawhich is able to pull the PIN and program additional keys. It will cost $50 for the software and $40 for the obd dongle/cable to connect to the car obd port and you will need to buy a blank key. Note, do not buy a refurbished key, new only, as the key is programmed to the wcm (wireless key module) of the car and cannot be reused/reprogrammed.

Appcar will work on all 200’s as noted on their website. The appcar software can retrieve the PIN so there no need to go to a dealer. It is quite easy to pull the PIN and immediately program the new keyfob.
Note that AlfaOBD will still require the purchase of a separate OBD dongle.

 

Another option is I have used alfaOBD for such. This should work on the car listed by the op also. Still will need pin from dealer, and yes new key. AlfaOBD is $50 and works with windows or android. I believe it works on all FCA, stelantis, etc from 2009 and up. At least for now. Not sure of course what will change with new ownership.

 

Alright, all of three WiTech diagnostic tool, appcar and alfaobd have their strengths and weaknesses.

As noted, it is your choice on how to proceed.

Benz Programming with Vediamo or DTS Monaco

With the current config on my StarPC, vediamo is doing his job perfectly over WIFI.

It is detecting the C4 with DOIP – of course I need to connect my LAN cable to the MUX if I really do need to use DOIP.

Use LAN cable or Wifi for DOIP?

I have only used the LAN cable for DOIP (because it is a requirement), for wifi it is not so stable.

 

Someone feedbacked "DTS Wifi work only with the new variant of clone ("XC4Plus orsd connect c4 Plus").

This is not true . Sd c4 work by wifi DTS monaco must only transfer Toolkit folder from Xentry to DTS and all work perfect.

Ktag 7.020 Clone Read Bosch EDC17C74 ECU

I have successfully reading a VW Passat year 2016 Bosch EDC17C74 ECU using KTAG.

I boughtKtag 7.020 SW V2.25with Red PCB EU because I want to read an EDC17C74 ECU but it caused many headache. I cannot afford an original ktag, so got the clone instead.

In the first step verify your cables. I have attached a drawing found on the net and you can check your GPT cable. In my case the Chinese GPT cable it is reversed the orange and the yellow. You can see in the first and second picture that the pin 21 orange cable and pin 18 is yellow. According the kess diagram original need to be yellow pin 21 and orange pin 18.

Next step use a powerful adapter. I used an 1A adapter but after changed with a 2A worked fine.

Now I can read and write without any problem a BOSCH EDC17C74 ECU with protocol P705, both flash and EEPROM.
