When fault code 01130 shows when reading the OBD-II codes in a car manufactured by the VAG group, this will likely indicate a fault in the ABS system. We can do the coding using Autel or Launch X431 diagnostic scanners.

Here are the examples.

1. With Autel scanners

It is a Volkswagen Polo 2010. The car arrived with a fault code in theABS U101300–the control unit is not coded.

We can do the coding viaAutel MaxiSys Ultra/MS909/MS919 diagnostic scanners.

First, check the coding of the unit, the coding has a value of 000000000000…, which means that there is no coding.

AUTEL has the ability to download a suitable coding from the server and there is no need to select it for a long time and painfully.

The order is as follows:
— through the Module programming function, download a suitable long coding
— select from the list, press Coding
— turn off and turn on the ignition
— check, if the error has not gone away or others have appeared, then select another coding
— now the unit is coded and you can delete the error.

2. With Launch X431

Launch X431 scanners will also do ABS long coding for VAG cars.

Xhorse VVDI MLB Tooland KYDZ MLB Tool will only add key to VW Audi Porsche Bentley Lamborghini MLB system. If all keys have lost, you only can do with OEM key with ODIS online access.

OEM key is usually around $400-500 and takes 1-2 weeks to show up. ODIS subscription is expensive, $1000ish per brand per year. There are many challenges with buying subscriptions. The biggest one is trying to justify the cost. It’s also challenging to get going and keep it up to date.

You also need a good interface that is compatible with ODIS subscription. Either 6154 original or the good clones (VNCI 6154Aor theVXDIAG VCX SE 6154). VNCI 6154 red dongle has positive reviews and allows modifying the serial number to the original 6154 dongle. Users have zero issues with keyed ignition cars using VNCI interface with ODIS online.

Better set up ODIS on a dedicated laptop. Better not set it up with other OEM software. They will interfere with each other and not allow either to work.

Any solution for MQB49/5C Make dealer key?

It’s mqb49/5c system. Autel/Lonsdor and other tools does not recognize that immo system.

Xhorse VVDI2andVVDI Key Tool Plushave the ability to read immo data from this system.

If add key, it can be done with xhorse vvdi2 or vvdi key tool plus with sync data. If all keys lost, no possible with aftermarket tools via obd. Only dealer (OEM key + ODIS online access).

If the key is MQB49 or 5C you can add key with vvdi2 or key tool plus. Only Johnson Control instrument is supported by xhorse.

You still need to get sync data from 3rd party to add key.

Pay for data calculation and you can use vvdi2 or key tool plus to generate dealer key and learn key.

Key needs to get from dealer and activate online with Odis. Also odis can not program after-market keys only OEM.

If it is VW Golf MK8, it is 5D system. Not available yet. Only oem key from dealer +odis online access.

Examples:

DoesXhorse MVCI Prowork with Subaru SSM3 and SSM4 Software?

SSM3:Yes, MVCI pro J2534 cable works with SSM3 without issue using proper driver.

Install SSM3 driver in mvci pro Device management tool.

If SSM3 does not communicate with cable, delete SSM3 driver and manually install Subaru driver again.

Disable anri-virus program before downloading.

SSM4: Not working.

Here is the user report:

Installed MVCI Pro 2.1.4 and SSM4 on different Win10 computers but cannot communicate. The cable is green but not blinking. The MVCI Pro program finds the cable and installed the Subaru driver from it but it does not work. The weird thing is that it detects the cable with firmware version V1.6.2 and the latest version is V1.3.0.

To use Subaru SSM4 software you’d better getVXDIAG VCX SE Subarudevice instead.

First original key is read, and then blank. If only one new key is added, after successful writing data to new blank key it will ask to add another or something like that and select no. Then when it ask for how many keys to add select number of all keys including existing keys and newly added.
Then asks if is smart key(button start) if it is not select no. Then in about 30 seconds add keys in lock one by one and turn ignition on and off and add annother one until all keys all learned it wil show 1/3 keys learned.

Need to clone Volvo V60 CEM R5F64525KFD (Part number 31327996 BG9T-14C256-GA). Which tool will read and write this mcu?

Xhorse VVDI Prog: only supports reading.

Yanhua Mini ACDP: supports reading only.

You have a couple of options:

1). Read pin withVVDI Prog/Yanhua ACDPand input it to I/O Terminal orOBDSTAR DC706(DC706 will not read pin, it willask for pin code), then clone it by OBD

2).Original Orange5or some v1.35 or v1.36 new type of clone or v1.34 clone from 2017 or 2018

3). Original Xprog programmer.

Decided to connect v1.34 Orange5 to read as R5F64524KFD instead of R5F64525KFD. Before attempting, checked memory addressing in datasheets of both MCUs and it clearly showed that everything except the bigger (1024 KB for R5F64525KFD) flash is identical (R5F64524KFD has 768 KB flash).

Decided to first play with actual R5F64524KFD to make sure mthe Orange5 is working with at least correct MCU properly.
Spent quite a bunch of time to figure out connection, but figured it out and connected as follows:

Red, Purple to VCC
Black, Grey to GND
Blue to RXD
Green to TXD
Yellow to RST
Orange to PXD

But, unfortunately, it didnt read it… "RST signal low” or something like that…
Digged further, figured out you have to cut the reset pin here:

After cutting reset on PCB, the orange5 clone read and write every area (D flash, Eeprom, Flash).

Moved onto R5F64525KFD, took the donor unit (same part numbers), tried reading – and it WORKED!
Read original unit Dflash and Eeprom, connect back to donor, confidently press "write”…..
Dflash went smooth, written, but goddamn Eeprom kept on giving me error (cant write block 0x1802)…
After spending couple hours playing with settings and connection, i found out that if i fill 0x1800-0x1802 with FF, it moves further and gives error at 0x1842…
Right! Filled 0x1840-0x1842 with FF too, and it worked, written correctly.

Test on car – starts and drives, previous problems (changed CEM initially) are not present….
There is DTC in CEM about internal EEPROM error, but as soon as you clear it, never comes back.

Good luck, just fill the bytes described above with FF, cut AND SOLDER BACK WHEN FINISHED, and you can read/write Eeprom and Dflash of R5F64525KFD with old Orange 5!
DONT TOUCH FLASH; ITS DIFFERENT SIZE! ONLY DO IT WITH UNITS WITH 100% MATCHING PART NUMBERS!

Restore TF card using the SD_Firmware_tool file.

4. Click to make upgradable TF card and wait for it to be completed

5. After the card making is completed, insert the SD/TF card into the device, restart and wait for the reflashing to be completed.

It is a Jeep Renegade Body Control module, they call them BCM/in Fiat it is BSI.
We are going to clone this BCM. Fiat, Chrysler and Dodge some of them do have similar BCM.

This is a flooded car so the right is original bad unit. First need to read data from the original ECU.

We are using thexhorse multi progprogramer. Tried to do it with AVDI or Autel, they don’t even have an option. I/O Terminal doesn’t even have an option.VVDI progdoes these also.

Xhorse vvdi does have the option to clone these.

Go to laptop, follow wiring diagram to connect BCM module with multi-prog via the MCU adapter.

Solder GND, VCC, Brown, then orange, add flux and solder that way, double check your connection and make sure everything is good.

Go toMulti PROG software.
Select Immobilizer->Jeep Renegade BCM_>2017. This is the R7F701034 processor.

Read Dflash.

It does have a password so these are secure.

If you have a programmer that reads it but cannot unlock it you are out of luck.
That’s why we need to use the multi prog. It unlocked it and read the Dflash.

Then read the Cflash data. Always read all the data in case something go wrong.

This one takes longer to read as it’s a bigger one.

It’s pretty quick read for this programmer. If you can see 2 minutes 22 seconds for a flash this big it’s a good read. Fast read it’s a total of 3 minutes.

Then we will write both Dflash and Cflash.
You don’t need to write the C flash on some cars.
You do so in this case.

Upload original BCM Dflash and write.

Write Dflash successfully.

We’re going to write the Cflash. Click C Flash andload the original C flash.

Write CFlash completed.

It’s written. We’re just going to unsolder those pinouts clean it and the BCM clone is done.
