How to program 2021 Ford Ranger blade key (old school 80bit) all keys lost with active alarm usingAutel IM608 Pro II.
We’re working on a 2021 Ford Ranger it’s all keys lost with a key ignition using the autel im608 pro2.
It is active alarm.
Go right to Ford-> 2019-2022->Blade key->Control Unit-> Immobilizer->Immobilizer remote control learning
Alarm is active. Open the driver’s door with the door open use the screwdrivers to set the door latch to the closed and lock position.
Wait approximately 10 minutes until the vehicle makes double horn sound you have to hear the double horn be press okay.
We did that to disable the active alarm.
Select No not to clear all keys lost. Then add key with clearing.
Program a new key withAutel IM608 iisuccessfully.
Test the new key.

CGDI released a new D1 adapter forCG100X Programmer. The D1 adapter is used to repair/change VAG MQB D70F34XX and D70F35XX processor mileage without soldering.
Function requires CG100X software version 1.3.5.1 and update.
1.Added D1 adapter (coming soon), support VW D70F34/35xx remove capacitor way mileage repair.

Mercedes Benz W164 has 2 types of EIS, Motorolla based and NEC based. The very early W164 models have Motorola which you can read by external programmer likevvdi prog, smok, rosfar etc. Then there is EIS with NEC procesor not motorola, cannot be read with those programmers.

Part number differences:
1st version of these old W164 EZS with the 2 plugs far apart 2005 -> 2006 had Motorola MCU inside. These have part numbers: 164 545 05 08 and 164 545 07 08
Then from 2007 -> 2009 these old W164 EZS with the 2 plugs far apart have an NEC MCU inside. These have part numbers: 164 545 09 08, 164 545 10 08, 164 545 11 08, 164 545 13 08
From 2009+ These W164 used a smaller EZS with the 2 plugs close together, these EZS are supported by most tools for AKL and have part numbers: 164 545 15 08, 164 545 16 08, 164 905 xx xx
Only motorolla bassed eis can be decoded. nec based eis has locked/ unreadable processor with city name mask i.e. amazonas, sydney etc. best solution for this is to replace eis and make ecu virgin then personalize and activate ecu with new ( used) eis installed.
vvdi mb toolnow find all keys lost password.
For example: extract the key password from the infamous Amazonas chip on a Mercedes W164 X164 W156 EIS from 2006- 2008 using xhorse vvdi mb tool andpower adapter.

Question:
Choosing a tool for airbag reset,OBDSTAR P50?CG70?CG100? Orcg100x? which one is better?
First of all, let’s check some table comparisons:
OBDSTAR P50 is standalone version, don’t need to drag a PC. CGDI tools are based on PC.
OBDSTAR P50 is good tool, with very good documentation for connection to unit, have frequent upgrades.
P50 will do some high-end cars, Maserati etc. Some airbag models still requires soldering.
CGDI CG70 is an airbag-specific tool, it only does SRS by CAN. CG70 covers more srs than cg100/cg100x. CG100 do more mcu, eeprom and odometer. CG100X is the update version of cg100, cg100x adds more srs, eeprom and mileage models (i.e MQB NEC355XX mileage).
CG70 software is simple and easy to use. No dismantling, no welding. cg70 have a lot of airbags without soldering.
P50now supports 9500+ airbag part numbers (till Nov. 2023),CG70has less airbag part numbers than P50.
CG100 and CG100 are good tools and do good job forAsian cars Honda Toyotaon bench.
In sum, each one has a option, all good at the end.
Both obdstar and cg release regular updates. Make sure to keep the software up-to-date in order not to miss the latest airbag modules.
Sometimes you need more tools, if cg100 does not contain some of ECUs, cg70 or p50 will do.
For mostairbagunits is to use any eeprom and mcu programmer, like carprog, iprog, Xprog or Upa. About 80-90% its a direct eeprom programming, sometimes you will find motorola mcu like HC08 family. Some newer units have spc560 or Renesas, those are harder and need special airbag programmers to make the job.
