Here comes the user feedback:VNCI MDI2tested working perfectly on a Cadillac Escalade 2022 CAN FD model.

The VNCI MDI2 contains CAN FD support which is needed for the latest GM cars. Chinse GM MDI2 1st generation device does not support CAN FD. There are not many devices that really
support CAN FD. This device is interfering, it works with latest cars.
Here we show it works with the original diagnostic software GDS2.

Connect VNCI interface with vehicle via OBD port

Pair VNCI with WiFi or WLAN

Run MDI Manager to check device is connected.

TheVNCI MDI 2device can be detected even in the original GM MDI manager driver.
Launch the original dealer software GDS2 V2023.5.1

The MDI2 will pull all electronic components and show what fault codes.

The program is easy to use.

If using the original GDS2, service adaptation can be done just offline via GDS2. Only module programming need online access.

TheVNCI MDI2can also be used as j2534 passthru for Techline Connect SPS2 online programming.

How-to: register Toyota Prius 2015 TPMS tire pressure sensors with Techstream.

You will need a Techstream cable that has TPMS capability, for example, thevxdiag vcx nano Toyotaor the genuine Mongoose Pro MFC cable.

You also need proper Techstream software. Some versions may not have a Utility option. Here use V18.00.008 with autokent keygen activation (google it).

MINI VCI or theMVCI Procable don’t do TPMS.

Background information:

We installed a winter set of wheels, but we don’t know the ID of the "winter” sensors. We only know the "summer” ones, and only because the summer set a year ago had to be disassembled and a winter makeshift set put on them. The burning TMPS (Tire Monitor Pressure System) icon on the instrument panel is also a little annoying.

So we need to register the TPMS sensor.

First of all, hook up theAutel TS508WF TPMS scanner.

The scanner is cool, it shows all the information at once at the end: where is which ID, pressure, temperature and battery status.

Purchase 4 sets of TPMS sensors. Now the received sensors need to be registered in the car.We take the techstream cable and laptop under our arms and stomp to the parking lot. Let’s launch Techstream and get into TMPS.

1.From a bunch of modules, select the Tire Pressure Monitor we need.

2. In the Trouble Codes section, as expected, we see 4 errors due to lack of communication with sensors.

3. In the Data List section we see that Main Tire has (?) 4 slots and 2nd Tire also has 4 slots. The temperature is -40 in each… undetectable sensor, and the pressure everywhere is N/A kPa

4. In the Utility section, run ID Registration to begin the procedure for registering sensors

5. We read that the process will fail if you started it when the machine is only in the process of identifying sensors (if you just turned it on) and if you exceed 5 minutes to enter all IDs

6. Consistently enter all 4 IDs known to us

7. After the process is completed, within a few minutes you will be able to watch in real time how the machine polls sensors in the background and displays temperature and pressure on the monitor (in this screenshot only one sensor was picked up, and the error on the right in the Number of DTC still hangs)

8. And here all the sensors have already picked up and the error on the right has disappeared. At the same moment, the TPMS icon on the dashboard should go out.

Here comes the problem:

I am having problems with myAlientech kess3software I cannot connect, subscription expired。

Error "There was a problem connecting the tool”

Solution:

If the subscription is expired you can still use it you won’t have updates compared to flex. You can still use the existing activated protocols.

Restart ksuite, if not change usb cable, if not power the tool with obd or power supply adapter.

In most cases, try another usb cable. The problem will be solved.

Launch X431 Pro5 does not work on VW online coding.

Error code: A820.

You have not purchase the online programming function.

Any solution?

Launch X431 Pro5 only does Mercedes Benz and BMW online programming.

It does not do VAG online programming/coding.

You will need Launch X431 PAD series PAD V, PAD VII. They will do online programming for VAG, Porsche, Renault, Nissan, Hyundai and more brands.

In terms of capabilities between ThinkScan Plus 7 vs ThinkDiag, there are no differences. The cost difference is in the cost of the hardware itself... With the dongle, you have to use your hardware/phone/tablet/pad and with the other one you don't.

In fact there is no difference in diagnostic capability and variant coding capability between ThinkDiag and the more expensive Launch x431 Pro Pad V.... The difference is in the flashing capability and access you pay for that to Launch... But when it comes to sprinters, Launch does not really have a database of firmwares or updates that can be flashed on sprinters. For sedans and SUVs they do, but not for sprinters.

I have compared ThinkDiag vs ThinkDiag 2 vs Launch x431 Pro Pad V + J2534/DoiP VCI (have access to all 3) and there is no difference between them when it comes to diagnostic and variant coding capabilities for sprinters.
