Have you ever encountered the problem that when you connect BMW ICOM B to program BMW session, the tool works very well at first. But a minute
later, the device stops working, and the indicator lights just goes out
and will not come up again (as shown in picture below)? What is the
problem and how can you solve it?
This problem is caused by TPS3820 chip (as shown below) inside the BMW
diagnostic tool. It is probably that the chip is burned and needed to be
replaced with a new onel. You can either bring it to the local auto
repair tool shop or do it yourself to change the chip. It is cheap to
get the chip replaced. After you change the chip, your BMW ICOM B will
work normally again technically.
